Craftsmanship Meets Engineering

We treat pool work like building work. A deck joint is a structural detail, and we seal it with the care a structural detail deserves.

Our goal is work you stop thinking about.

Pool Deck Seals is based in Huntington Beach and works across Southern California. The sun here is hard on sealant and the water finds every gap. Careful prep and patient application keep both where they belong, and the finish stays clean for years.

Built to Protect

A sound joint keeps water away from the bond beam and out of the soil under your deck.

Precision Engineering

Measurement and prep come before any sealant goes in. The order matters.

Sealed to Last

Quality sealant applied without hurry holds up for years.

Frequently Asked Questions

Pool deck sealing, explained

What is pool deck mastic?

Mastic, which some people call pool caulking, is the flexible sealant in the joint between your pool coping and the deck. Concrete moves as it heats and cools. The mastic stretches with that movement and keeps water out of the gap.

Do you resurface pool decks?

No. Our work is the expansion joint between the coping and the deck. Resurfacing, deck coatings, cracks in the slab, and coping repair are separate trades. Send photos and we'll tell you whether a reseal is what your deck needs.

What sealant do you use?

Deck-O-Seal, or a one-part, ultra-low-modulus silicone built for high-movement joints. Either one goes in over a new backer rod and gets a sand finish that blends into the deck and protects the sealant from sun.

How much does pool deck joint sealing cost?

Our estimator uses $16 per linear foot as a starting point. The footage and the shape the old joints are in decide the real number. Send photos and we'll quote it properly.

How much does pool tile cleaning cost?

Tile cleaning runs $10 per linear foot of waterline. An average pool has around 80 feet of waterline, so most cleanings land near $800. Heavy buildup can raise the price, and photos of your tile settle it.

How is the price estimated?

We measure the total length of your deck joints and multiply by our rate. The slider on this page gives you a rough figure. A firm quote comes after we see photos or the deck itself.

How do I know when the joint material needs replacement?

Look for cracking, gaps, or sealant pulling away from the coping. Water getting through the joint means it has already failed.

Do you remove the existing joint material first?

Yes. New sealant only bonds properly on a clean joint, so the failed material comes out before anything goes in. We'll confirm the scope for your deck when we see photos.

Can I text photos for an estimate?

Yes. That's the fastest way to get a number. Text photos of your pool deck joints to (949) 414-9944 and we'll follow up with a quote.

We're based in Huntington Beach. Most of our work is in Orange County, and we also take jobs in Los Angeles, Long Beach, the Inland Empire, and San Diego.

Are you available 24/7?

Yes. Call or text whenever it suits you. If we're in the middle of a job it might take a while before we answer.
